You must have seen Hong Kong’s architectural giants and gleaming harbors in many popular movies. The skyline of the city is a standout among various metropolitan cities of the world, not only does it is alluring but the directors can’t find any better replacement for shot location. Fortunately unlike the Batman in the movie –The Dark Knight you don’t have to romp over the terraces of the skiers to grasp the city’s skyline. There are of course less daunting spots which can easily fetch you the view of the dramatic skyline.

The favorite hotspot of the city-Victoria Peak is definitely the highest point in Hong Kong. It offers magnificent views of the city and the hilly countryside beyond the skiers. The climate here is about 5⁰C cooler than the rest of the city, so you can imagine the height at which this peak is situated. The nightfall is breath-taking with the pastel-shades of sky fusing into each other and then being dethroned by the dark might of the night.

Alternative strategy could be reaching out to Sky 100 which looms 390m above terra firma, on the 100th floor of the area’s tallest building- The International Commerce Centre (ICC) in West Kowloon. From here you get the privilege of seeing the entire Kowloon Peninsula and of course, the multi-dimensional view of the Hong Kong’s futuristic outline.

Keep in mind, as well, that it’s not just always from top to bottom, one of the city's most celebrated panoramas is of Victoria Harbor befuddled by pontoons, with architectural miracles lined up at the back ground.

As you switch between the views, don't forget to take the Star Ferry, which runs in the middle of Central and Tsim Sha Tsui, and let Hong Kong unfold before you like a mobile banquet.

Roosted on the very tip of the Tsim Sha Tsui waterfront, the vestibule parlor of the Intercontinental, with its taking off fortified glass, is one of the best spots to douse up the Hong Kong Island horizon and take in the occupied harbor. It's additionally a perfect venue from which to watch firecrackers shows and the daily Symphony of Lights light show.
